The end of the quarter is soon and here are the news from the last all hands meeting:
*Only the lowest salaries will be raised
*The intern position in your team has been cut
*Everyone needs to make an effort and work harder to meet the targets for the next quarter.
Seems familiar?
For me, yes,
that's what happened a few years ago.
Back then, it took me a while to realise that
I could automate all my repetitive tasks.
I spent months learning how to code scripts and use tools like Zapier and Make.
But with Gen AI, you can go much faster now.
If I was coming out of this all hands today, here is the process I would use
1. List all the tasks that you do on a regular basis
2. Organise them in a google sheets with criteria like "repetitiveness", "error rate", time consumption" etc
3. Classify them by priority
4. Ask ChatGPT what should be the best way to automate the first task
5. Start building
6. Repeat
I'm working on a template to help with this process. Let me know if you're interested and I'll share it as soon as it's ready :)
